In the Tamil village of Pannaipuram, tucked in the Theni district, three restless youths chart their own rough path toward freedom. Samikannu is the son of Karagattam artist Shanmugasundaram; Vinayakam is the son of a stern military man; and Ramarajan is the village’s charming rogue, all tired of rigid traditions and punishments that constantly pull them back. They repeatedly test the bounds of their conservative elders, and after yet another harsh round of discipline, they stage one last escape. The trio slips away to Madurai, hoping to crash with Vinayakam’s friend [Azhagar], and dream of a life beyond their small world.

At Azhagar’s place, the friends learn of a whirlwind plan that mixes romance with flight from poverty. Azhagar is preparing to marry an American woman, and talks of honeymooning in London before moving there for good. The idea of leaving everything behind—marriage to a foreign partner, a glamorous new city, a life untethered from village rules—seizes them. Their boldness is amplified by a twist of fate: Samikannu had unwittingly brought along a cache of sacred golden jewels from their village temple, a mistake that chains them to their homeland and makes any return impossible.

In Goa, they cross paths with Aravind Akash, who becomes their guide to the party scene and the sharper edges of urban life. Goa’s nightlife offers new pleasures and new loves. Ramarajan meets the club singer Roshini during a lively party hosted by Jack, a charismatic host who opens his home to them and helps them reinvent themselves. Meanwhile, Vinayakam falls for Roshini, and Samikannu pursues an American named Jessica Alba, whom he had once seen at the Madurai wedding. The three friends receive a flashy makeover from Jack and Roshini, swapping village clothes for a flashy Goa outfit and stepping into a world that feels almost magical compared to their homeland.

But the gleam of their new life is complicated by love and jealousy. Sampath Raj appears as Daniel, Jack’s lover, who takes a particular interest in Samikannu’s innocence. Jack reacts with a protective, sometimes violent edge, hiring ninja-themed henchmen to rough up Samikannu when jealousy flares. Samikannu shows surprising resilience, turning the aggression on its head and managing to deflect the danger with a quiet strength.

Ram’s life takes a dramatic turn when he encounters Sneha as Suhasini Fernando, a wealthy entrepreneur who sails the luxury cruise ship Casino Royale. The pair fall into a romance and eventually marry, and Ram presents Suhasini with the golden jewel from his village, which she locks away in a secret room aboard her yacht. But happiness wears thin as Ram learns Suhasini is neurotic, a truth revealed by her former husband Prasanna, who plays Shakthi Saravanan. The marriage begins to crumble, and Ram, feeling the weight of trust broken, turns to his old friends for help. Together, they stage a covert mission to retrieve the jewel, hoping to reclaim control of their fates.

Meanwhile, Vinayakam and Samikannu find success in their romantic pursuits, and the trio eventually returns to Pannaipuram—with Roshini, Jessica, Jack, and Danny in tow. A surprise awaits Ram back home: the appearance of Nayanthara, who shakes up the dynamic and adds a new layer to the story’s unfolding relationships. The tale shifts to Goa once more for a final twist: Suhasini falls for Madhan Kumar, played by Silambarasan, and as they embrace, Madhan’s nose bleeds—a haunting cue that Suhasini may have fallen under the spell of Manmadhan.

The film skewers common tropes from Tamil cinema and plays with popular songs, offering meta-commentary as it careens between romance, comedy, and a dash of melodrama. Director Venkat Prabhu makes several cameos throughout the ride, winking at fans and threading the narrative with affectionate parody.

The result is a raucous, energetic panorama of friendship and desire, stitched together by bold character choices and a fearless sense of humor. It keeps the focus on how a handful of young men navigate tradition, temptation, and the lure of a life beyond the hills, while never losing sight of the playful heart that first set them on this bold, chaotic path.
