Mavis Arden, a world‑famous movie star, is traveling home after a personal appearance tour when her car breaks down. She tells her publicity director to find lodging, suspecting he staged the mishap to keep her from a suitor. Instead, she becomes enamored with the handsome local mechanic, who shares ideas for new film‑making equipment.
