Glass Onions

In May 2020, the film begins during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, with Connecticut Governor Claire Debella conducting an at-home interview. She receives a mysterious package, marking the start of the story’s central mystery. The package is sent to multiple characters, including Lionel Toussaint, Birdie Jay, Duke Cody, and Cassandra 'Andi' Brand.

Lionel, Birdie, Duke, and Andi all receive the mysterious box at their respective locations. They gather on a call to discuss how to open it, revealing a series of puzzles leading to an invitation to Miles Bron's private island. Each character reacts differently to receiving the package, hinting at underlying tensions.

Miles Bron sends the remaining part of the package to Andi, who smash it in frustration. Miles then invites all the characters to his private island for a murder mystery game. The group departs on a boat, surprised to see Andi arrive unexpectedly, adding tension to the gathering.

Guests arrive at Miles's island, where he greets them at the dock and introduces the Glass Onion home. Miles announces the murder mystery game, claiming he will be the victim. Tensions surface among the guests, especially concerning past conflicts with Miles.

The characters settle in, and during a poolside gathering, Miles gives a speech before Andi confronts him about his shady practices. Peg warns Birdie about her suspicions of Miles, and the group starts to suspect underlying motives, especially about Miles’s shady business dealings.

During a party night, Duke is found choking after drinking a poisoned beverage given by Miles. The group searches for clues, discovering that Duke's phone is missing, raising suspicion that Miles attempted to poison or harm him. Tensions escalate amid the chaos.

As the lights go out, Whiskey finds Helen (disguised as Andi) and aims her gun at her. An unseen attacker fires a shot, and Andi is shot, collapsing in the darkness. Blanc suspects foul play and begins investigating the chaotic events as guests look on in shock.

Helen reveals herself as Andi’s twin sister, having faked her death to uncover the truth. Blanc and Helen find evidence suggesting Andi was murdered due to her knowledge of Miles's theft and dangerous innovations. They plan to expose Miles and find the real killer.

Helen sneaks through the estate, gathering evidence by overhearing conversations and planting a recorder. She uncovers confessions about Miles’s illegal activities, dangerous experiments, and motives for killing Andi and possibly others. Tensions reach a boiling point as secrets come out.

Blanc publicly accuses Miles of murder, revealing how he poisoned Duke and orchestrated the deaths of others, including Andi, due to her knowledge of his stolen ideas. Miles’s attempt to cover his tracks collapses as evidence is uncovered, and his scheme unravels amid chaos.

Helen destroys Miles’s valuable items and starts a fire with the stolen sample of Klear, causing a massive explosion that destroys the Glass Onion and eliminates Miles’s empire. She aims to punish Miles for his greed, corruption, and murder, reclaiming justice for Andi.

As the estate burns, Helen allows the Mona Lisa to be consumed by fire and leaves Miles’s ruined estate with a sense of triumph. Blanc and Derol watch from afar as justice is served, and Helen reflects on how her actions brought closure to the tangled web of deception.
