Harold Meadows, a shy, stuttering bachelor who works in a tailor shop, is drafting a guidebook titled The Secret of Making Love for other timid men. When he meets wealthy Mary, they quickly fall for each other, but she is slated to marry a man who is already wed. Determined, Harold launches a daring, hair‑raising scheme to stop the wedding.
