The mother practices half‑nude aerobics, only to be assaulted by her son, while the daughter engages in a sexual encounter with her female teacher. Though these events are shocking, the film ultimately reflects Sato’s recurring concerns with alienation and the loss of innocence, aligning more closely with his thematic style than his earlier, more brutal work.
