Fright Night

Seventeen-year-old Charley Brewster notices suspicious behavior from his new neighbor, Jerry Dandrige, and suspects he might be a vampire responsible for recent disappearances. Charley confides in his mother and seeks help from his friends, including Amy and Evil Ed. Detective Lennox also investigates Jerry's house but is misled when Billy Cole claims Jerry is away on a trip.

Jerry breaks into Charley's room and gives him an ultimatum: ignore his vampiric activities or face death. Charley defies him, brandishing a crucifix, and fights back when Jerry attempts to push him out the window. Jerry retaliates by destroying Charley's car, escalating the threat.

Charley turns to Peter Vincent, a TV horror host, for assistance, but Peter dismisses his story as the antics of a fan. Amy, worried about Charley's safety, devises a plan involving fake holy water to test Jerry’s vampiric nature.

While attempting to confirm if Jerry is a vampire, Peter notices that Jerry lacks a reflection in a mirror, revealing his true identity. Panicked, Peter drops the mirror and escapes, but Jerry notices the shard and begins to hunt down the truth.

Jerry turns Evil Ed into a vampire, and Ed later seeks Peter Vincent at his home. Ed, now undead, tries to attack Peter but is burned with a crucifix, marking his downfall. This escalation makes Charley realize the danger Jerry poses.

Charley and Peter chase Jerry to a nightclub where Jerry hypnotizes and abducts Amy, who resembles his lost love. Charley tries to warn the police but fails, leading to an urgent effort to rescue Amy before her transformation completes.

Peter reluctantly joins Charley to confront Jerry at his house. They use a crucifix to repel him, and Billy, revealed as undead, attacks and is ultimately destroyed. The heroes attempt to stake Jerry, exposing him to sunlight to destroy him permanently.

As dawn approaches, Peter and Charley expose Jerry to sunlight, which destroys him. Amy, who was transforming into a vampire, is restored to her human form after Jerry's defeat. The immediate threat is eliminated, and they believe they are safe.

A few nights later, Peter returns to his TV show and announces a break from vampire stories. Charley and Amy watch him, feeling relieved. Charley dismisses the ominous red eyes in Jerry’s house, believing the danger has passed.

While Charley and Amy relax in bed, they notice glowing red eyes in Jerry’s vacant house. Despite dismissing them initially, the eyes appear again, hinting that the vampire menace might not be entirely over, and Evil Ed's taunting laugh confirms lingering danger.
