Seven masked bandits led by a chieftain called “Mormon” kidnap Susy, the mayor’s cousin in Clayton City. Mayor Frank Clonny agrees to the $15,000 ransom and devises a rescue plan with Sheriff Benson, but their trap fails when an aide, Donovan, lets the outlaws escape. Benson summons the enigmatic gunslinger Sartana, who must battle the Mormon and his four hired killers—Buffalo, a bullwhip master; Martinez, a knife‑throwing expert; the hulking Sullivan; and Silky, a swift gunslinger.
