David O’Neil, a plasterer, was Theo’s friend for years, but their bond strains when Theo plans to move in with his girlfriend, Hannah. Jealous, David manipulates Hannah’s insecurities to split them. After their breakup, he confronts his homosexuality and love for Theo, revealing feelings on talk‑show “Forgive and Forget,” which destroys their friendship.
