A desperate father, worried about his son’s financial future, creates a soda called Dopokoke laced with cocaine and markets it as a cure for “that tired feeling.” The drink becomes popular, but the son soon falls into addiction, leaving the father consumed by regret. The story loosely echoes historic claims that Coca‑Cola and other soft‑drink makers once spiked their products with narcotics.
