After Amazonian tribes attack a U.S. oil site in Brazil, the governments covertly deploy engineered killer bees to eradicate the natives. Reporter Ann Bauer survives a sting and is rescued. Dr. Stephen North finds the venom can heal and smuggles a bee onto a NY flight, where turbulence releases them, endangering Bauer, her husband Martin, and Scotty.
