Balwant Singh is killed during a confrontation that shatters the Mumbai crime branch. Arjun Singh is devastated by the loss and questions his own safety and that of his family. The murder also raises the fear that the same assailant may come after him.

A new ACP, Karan Singh, is posted to fill Balwant's vacancy. Arjun remains wary of Karan's aggressive, unorthodox methods. The relationship between the two officers is strained from the start.

Criminals seize a college and take students hostage, including Kajal, Arjun's daughter. Arjun negotiates with the attackers, but Karan storms the building and single-handedly neutralizes the terrorists, saving Kajal. Kajal is grateful and quickly develops affection for him.

Following the rescue, Karan and Kajal's mutual attraction grows and they begin a relationship. Arjun disapproves of Karan's methods, but Kajal's feelings complicate the family dynamic. The bond between father and son-in-law becomes strained.

Over the next days, Karan and Arjun raid hideouts and illicit ammunition factories belonging to Gawa and Sikandar. Sikandar's influence in the city limits what they can accomplish, hampering their progress. The case remains unresolved despite their efforts.

Sikandar murders Kajal's friend who was entangled with him. Kajal informs Karan and Arjun about the killing, and Karan asks Kajal to identify the killer while Arjun cautions against rushing to conclusions. The tension between suspicion and evidence grows.

Karan and Kajal marry. On their first night, they are attacked by Sikandar and his cronies, but they manage to escape. Karan then captures Sikandar and presents him before the judge; during Sikandar's transfer, Gawa attacks the convoy, frees Sikandar, and a gunfight erupts. Karan kills Sikandar but fails to kill Gawa; Sikandar is captured and Gawa is left at large, leading to Karan's promotion to DCP.

Some time later, Gawa escapes by faking his own death and resurfaces, targeting an orphanage run by a Catholic priest. Gawa murders the priest and writes a fake suicide note accusing the priest of running the orphanage as a front for child trafficking with Karan's help. This triggers a CBI enquiry against Karan.

Gawa starts appearing at Karan's home, drugs and molests Kajal when she's alone, driving Karan toward madness. Karan is suspended from service and spirals into drinking, while his informer Taxi—former ally of Gawa—reluctantly helps him. The personal attack severely weakens his grip on duty.

Taxi realizes that he and Karan are being followed, but Gawa shoots Taxi and throws the gun at Karan, framing him for the murder. Kajal's safety and Karan's reputation hang in the balance as he fights to clear his name. The public and political pressure intensifies.

Arjun lays siege to the temple where he intends to arrest Karan, prompting Kajal to intervene just as Arjun points a gun at him. Kajal expresses her continued belief in Karan, and a tense exit follows. The confrontation ends with Karan slipping away to pursue Gawa.

Karan learns that Kajal has been kidnapped by Gawa. He infiltrates Gawa's hideout, fights through henchmen, and finds Kajal tied up and awaiting rescue. He confronts Gawa in a final duel and escapes with Kajal, chasing Gawa toward a helicopter.

In the helicopter finale, Karan clings to the craft and defeats Gawa, who falls onto a minefield and dies. Kajal is rescued, and Arjun finally endorses Karan's decisions, bringing resolution to the long ordeal.
