Family Honeymoon

Katie Armstrong, a young widow and mother, agrees to marry botany professor Grant Jordan. Grant is seeking funds to build a new botany research facility on campus, which places him under pressure with the chancellor. Minna Fenster crashes Grant's bachelor party and begins plotting to sabotage the engagement.

Minna's meddling continues as she tries to ingratiate herself with the chancellor and undermine Katie's relationship with Grant. Grant reassures Katie that Minna is a faded threat, but he cannot ignore the chancellor's influence over funding. The couple's wedding plans hang in the balance under the mounting pressure.

Upon arrival, Minna and Chancellor Fenster are also on vacation at the Grand Canyon. Minna immediately begins pursuing Grant, trying to win favor with her father through him. Katie learns of the Fenster presence and the pressure over the botany project intensifies.

With the mounting tension, Katie decides to head home with the children, telling Jo she is on the way. Jo decides to throw a welcoming party to reunite the couple when they return. The party becomes a focal point for reconciliation.

Grant and Katie finally reunite with the family after the party, and they spend their first night together as a married couple. The reconciliation restores family harmony and signals a hopeful future. The episode ends on a note of renewed commitment.
