Shinichi Tsuda, a Naoki Prize-winning author, is writing a new story centered on Tsuyama, a driver for a call girl business in Toyama Prefecture. Tsuyama’s life is threatened when he discovers a mysterious counterfeit bill, putting him in the crosshairs of underworld kingpin Kurata. Tsuda's editor, Nahomi Torikai, investigates to determine if the story is based on true events. Her inquiries uncover a missing family, a vanished post office worker, a suspicious sum of money, and a pivotal encounter. As shocking facts emerge, the mystery deepens: how did the counterfeit money reach Tsuyama, and what "ending" was Tsuda hoping to portray?
