A vivid depiction of the 1939‑40 Soviet‑Finnish Winter War focuses on the mass evacuations that swept across Finland. The narrative follows a Karelian family and their entire village as they are compelled to abandon their homes amid the conflict. Despite the bleak historical backdrop, the film maintains an unexpectedly lively, upbeat tone that highlights resilience and community spirit.
