Helena, a single café owner, plans a peaceful Advent holiday in the mountains with her eight-year-old son, Mikuláš. A mix-up leads them to a secluded mountain lodge run by adventure guide Richard, his energetic daughter Zuzka, and his friendly brother Mišo. To Helena’s surprise, her parents also arrive, determined that the family spends Christmas together. As snow blankets the isolated lodge, cultural differences between city dwellers and mountain residents, playful rivalries between the children, and unexpected events lead to a transformative holiday.
