True Gore II (also titled Empire of Madness, 1989) is M. Dixon Causey’s sequel that avoids real gore. The first half strings together faux‑snuff vignettes like those in Snuff Perversions and Murder Collection; the second half spoofs 80s‑90s satanic‑panic documentaries such as Law Enforcement Guide to Satanic Cults. Deliberately sloppy footage and jokey credits – listing a ‘researcher’ and a ‘visual archivist’ instead of a cameraman – turn the film into a parody of shockumentaries.
