During a nature camp, tragedy strikes when Anju is photographed in the bathroom by a hidden cell phone held by Varun Prabhakar, Roshan Basheer, the spoiled son of Inspector General of Police Geetha Prabhakar, Asha Sarath. Varun pursues Anju with a dark persistence, and when she resists, he tries to force himself on her. That night, he shows up at the family home, and Rani pleads with him to leave Anju alone. Varun won’t listen unless Rani agrees to have sex with him instead. In a desperate, misguided attempt to end the danger, Anju accidentally strikes Varun in the head, killing him.
