Drag Me to Hell

In Pasadena, California, in the year 1969, a young Mexican couple seeks the assistance of medium Shaun San Dena. Their urgency stems from their son having stolen jewelry from a group of Gypsies, leading to him being haunted by horrific visions.

During a tense seance, medium Shaun San Dena witnesses a horrifying event as the couple's son is violently hurled from a balcony by an invisible force. This shocking incident signifies the presence of a malevolent demon and solidifies San Dena's vow to confront it in the future.

Fast forward forty years, we meet Christine Brown, a dedicated loan officer aiming to secure a promotion at her bank. Competing against her new colleague, Stu Rubin, she is driven to make choices that could affect her career and life.

When Mrs. Ganush, an elderly gypsy woman, pleads for a mortgage extension, Christine makes the critical decision to deny her request. In an impulsive act, Christine shoves Mrs. Ganush away, unintentionally triggering a terrifying curse that will haunt her.

After her confrontation with Mrs. Ganush, Christine begins experiencing a series of bizarre and terrifying encounters. The unsettling events escalate, and Christine realizes she is being relentlessly pursued by an ancient demon due to the curse laid upon her.

Desperate for help, Christine consults fortune teller Rham Jas, who reveals the identity of her tormentor—the Lamia—and the curse instigated by Mrs. Ganush. Armed with this knowledge, Christine realizes she must confront her fears if she hopes to survive.

In a chilling turn of events, Christine attends Mrs. Ganush's funeral, only for the occasion to devolve into horror. The encounter leaves Christine drenched in embalming fluid, deepening her sense of dread and urgency about her safety.

Amid the terrifying events, Christine organizes a seance with Shaun San Dena, hoping to find a way to rid herself of the Lamia. Unfortunately, her plans are thwarted when the demon reveals its dark intentions—to claim Christine's soul.

Christine navigates a turbulent relationship with her boyfriend, Clay, getting closer to uncovering the truth about the curse and the Lamia. A bizarre dinner with Clay's family and unnerving encounters with the demon further escalate the tension in her life.

Just when a glimmer of hope appears with Clay's unexpected proposal, Christine faces a tragic blunder. She inadvertently drops the cursed button in Clay's possession, sealing her fate and setting off a chain of dire consequences.
