Don’t. Get. Out!

Karl Brendt is driving his children, Josefine and Marius, to school when he receives a call warning that bombs are planted under the car seats. The caller demands a ransom and threatens to detonate the bombs if the demands are not met. The situation becomes urgent as Karl realizes the threat is real when another car explodes after a passenger attempts to exit.

The ransom money is stored in Karl’s wife Simone’s bank account. Initially, she refuses to pay, but her young daughter persuades her to do so over the phone. Simone’s lawyer and lover then drive her to the bank to retrieve the ransom money, suspecting Karl might be involved in criminal activity.

The police, including an explosives expert, learn that the bombs are indeed attached to Karl’s car at Gendarmenmarkt. They suspect Karl is dangerous, and arrest the situation, surrounding the car with a large police contingent. Tensions rise as the authorities plan their approach.

Josefine refuses to exit the car, fearing her father will be shot, and instead jumps into the passenger seat. Marius is taken out by the authorities. The blackmailer attempts to manipulate the situation, claiming to be Karl’s brother to persuade Karl to surrender.

The blackmailer reveals himself as Karl’s presumed brother, seeking revenge for his wife’s suicide, which was indirectly caused by Karl's building project failures. He plans to use the situation for his revenge, escalating the danger for Karl and his family.

The blackmailer activates a timer on the bombs, informing Karl that he has only five minutes left to deliver the ransom. Karl begins to panic as the urgency of the situation intensifies, forcing him to make quick decisions.

Realizing the danger, Karl flees from the police and drives towards the banks of the Spree, with law enforcement in pursuit. Police and explosives experts attempt to coordinate a rescue while preventing the blackmailer from executing his plan.

Josefine voluntarily exits the car at the riverbank, convinced that staying might put her family in greater danger. The blackmailer then forces his way into Karl’s car, revealing his intent to take responsibility for the bomb threat himself.

In a desperate attempt to prevent the blackmailer from killing everyone, Karl drives his car into the Spree. He manages to escape before the explosion, while the blackmailer is killed in the blast, ending the immediate threat.

After the incident, Karl serves a prison sentence for his past reckless building practices. The family later reconciles, having survived the traumatic ordeal and the blackmailer’s threat.
