Fluke is Mo'orea's newborn daughter, initially cautious around Echo but gradually forming a meaningful friendship. Her presence motivates the community to defend her and invest in her early life. The young whale's growth is shaped by protection and nurturing from her family.

Mr. Mantis is a peacock mantis shrimp who tends his coral pile and longs for cooperative work among his neighbors. He faces threats when a cuttlefish challenges his home, but the reef community rallies to defend and support him. His story adds humor and resilience to the coral gardens.

The Narrator provides guiding voiceover that frames Echo's ocean world and helps audiences understand the emotional stakes of his journey. The narration offers context, clarifies relationships, and highlights the themes of family, courage, and survival in the sea.
