A strange sense of déjà vu settles in as New Year’s Eve arrives. Sarah finds herself working, and Nick is her only customer. However, their countdown to midnight takes a deadly turn when an executioner Dalek targets them. They find themselves reliving the same moments, trapped in a repeating loop. The Doctor, Yaz, and Dan must uncover the reason for this temporal anomaly and find a way to save Sarah and Nick, and survive into the New Year.
