Dino King: Journey to Fire Mountain

In a perilous chase, a Tsintaosaurus corners Junior. Speckles arrives just in time and defeats the rival, saving his son. He scolds Junior for not fighting back, reminding him that this world is dangerous and Speckles is all he has left. He promises that tomorrow will be Junior's first hunt.

Speckles carries Junior to a hilltop and declares the hill his kingdom while teaching him to own his surroundings. He tells Junior that tomorrow will mark his first hunt and urges him to face his fears. The lesson is stern but hopeful, setting the stage for what comes next.

The next day, while Speckles hunts Protoceratops, Junior's fears return. He is knocked into shallow water and can't swim, forcing him to call for help. Speckles becomes visibly disappointed and overreacts, scolding him and widening the rift between father and son.

That night, Junior has painful flashbacks of his mother's death. Speckles consoles him by saying the world is full of dangers but also wonders. The moment softens their tension as they share a quiet, supportive exchange.

On the next day, Junior stalks a Pachycephalosaurus but five Deinonychus abduct him. Speckles pursues the pack, but two raptors knock him into a river and a rainstorm masks their trail, delaying the pursuit. The Deinonychus remain a formidable threat as Junior is carried away.

Junior ends up in a desert dome where many other kidnapped dinosaurs are kept. A bully Therizinosaurus named Slash harasses him while Blue defends him, and a Carnotaurus named Blade orders Slash to stand down. The Deinonychus prisoners gather others and take three away from the dome.

Speckles meets Saichania Cy, who wants to avenge his friend captured by the same Deinonychus. Junior befriends Blue and meets a Monoclonius named Dusty. While crossing a deep ravine, they are attacked by five giant scorpions; Speckles defeats them but is stung in the leg, and the group barely escapes.

Within the dome, Dusty is drawn to food but a Dsungaripterus named Dsunga steals it. Junior and Blue bring Dusty plants and berries, helping her recover and earning her friendship. Elsewhere, Speckles, Fang, and Cy press on with their mission.

Speckles, Fang and Cy encounter a sand-dune shake that drops them into a dark pit, where they meet Fang, a female Tarbosaurus who heals Speckles' leg wound. It is revealed that Fang is Blue's mother, and she joins the trio on the quest for the compound.

Dsungaripterus Dsunga reveals that Deinonychus are delivering young dinosaurs as sacrifices to a mysterious volcano beast. The beast returns the young to its own offspring as toys, and when bored, it kills them. Junior feels guilty for not stopping the abductions.

Speckles and Fang encounter a Pukyongosaurus herd whose eggs are being stolen by Carnotaurus. Speckles initially resists helping, but Fang reminds him of mercy and cooperation. He helps rescue an egg and the eggs begin to hatch, signaling a turning point.

Back at the dome, Junior urges Blade to escape. That night, Junior distracts the Deinonychus while Blade and Blue throw rocks at them, but three Deinonychus and Slash await at the exit. They are forced back into their cave prison.

The eruption intensifies as Speckles, Fang and Cy join the confrontation with the Deinonychus. Junior bravely distracts the giant iguana-like beast, allowing the others to pull back. The iguana is crushed by falling rocks, and Junior is knocked unconscious but survives the ordeal.

With the beast defeated and the eruption waning, the group escapes to a paradise-like refuge. Speckles apologizes for pressing Junior too hard, and they reaffirm their bond as father and son. Cy says goodbye as they begin a new life together.
