June Allyson works as a cashier in a bustling dance hall. When her friend Imogene Coca hopes to become a dance hostess, June advises her to learn how to attract men and hands her a self‑help book. Imogene mistakenly grabs a manual on jiu‑jitsu, leading to comic mishaps, especially with a shy sailor who ends up tangled in her unintended training. Comedian Hank Henry also appears as another sailor, adding to the farcical situations.
