Based on a Turkish novel, Dilan follows a peasant woman who avenges her lover’s murder. In a remote SE village, Paso and Mirkan love her. After she chooses Mirkan, Paso has the youth killed. She marries Paso, kills him on their wedding night and flees to the mountains. The film shows a tragic love story and was shown at Cannes, Venice, Berlin.
