On a highway two strangers who share a past reunite after seventeen years. Seventeen years earlier, in the hopeful post‑war era, they had a brief, intense affair. Committed to building the new society, they set aside personal happiness, viewing their love as an unacceptable distraction from the collective ideals of the time.
