On the night of Independence Day, Detective James Knight is unexpectedly assigned to the Independence Day shift. What begins as a routine assignment quickly turns into a desperate race against time. An unbalanced ambulance EMT, posing as a police officer with a stolen gun and uniform, plans a dangerous display of his own.
