Wrongly accused of two murders and betrayed by his girlfriend, Cliff Banks becomes a fugitive. Distrusting everyone, he seeks refuge in a secluded country cottage where a kindly farmer and his daughter—a blind, Cinderella‑like woman who appears to commune with nature—tend to him. Their compassion compels him to reconsider his misanthropy.
