A newspaper reporter pursues a story about an incarcerated criminal. He interviews the prisoner, has an affair with the criminal’s daughter, and sleeps with his editor’s wife. While investigating, he discovers an incestuous relationship between the daughter and her father, and tragedy strikes before he can finish, leaving unanswered questions.
