In 1991, charismatic host Chuck Toedan runs the scandalous TV event Live or Die, where death‑row inmates fight for a chance to escape execution. When Chuck unintentionally kills a powerful mafia boss, a ruthless hitman targets him and the show. Forced to use the same deadly strategies he forces on his contestants, Chuck must outwit his adversaries or face his own demise.
