Day Watch

On January 2, 2006, after New Year's Day, an emergency APB is broadcast regarding an attack on an old woman near the Moscow Expo Center. Night Watch agent Anton Gorodetsky and his trainee, Svetlana Nazarova, respond quickly to locate the victim.

Upon arriving at the scene, Sveta spots the Dark One who attacked the old woman and takes off after him. Anton follows closely, but as they enter the Gloom, Anton finds himself unable to penetrate a protective shield.

Sveta catches up with the assailant and, in a shocking turn, discovers that he is actually Anton's son, Yegor. This revelation leaves Anton stunned, and he manages to pull Sveta back just in time, protecting her from harm.

After their harrowing experience, Anton and Sveta unwind at Cafe Zoar. Here, Anton grapples with his feelings for Sveta while Gesser, their boss, warns him against personal relationships with trainees.

Meanwhile, Zavulon, the leader of the Darks, is informed of the attack on the old woman and is worried about connections to Yegor. He sends Yegor's teacher, Galina, to retrieve evidence that could incriminate his son.

Galina is murdered by an unknown assassin, and her death raises suspicions around Anton, leading Zavulon to consider taking further action against him. This event complicates the fragile balance of the conflict between Darks and Lights.

To protect Anton from being blamed for Galina's murder, Gesser orchestrates a body switch with mage Olga. Anton finds himself in Olga's body, complicating his relationship with Sveta, who is oblivious to the switch.

While in Sveta's apartment, Anton, in Olga's body, confesses his identity to Sveta during a moment of intimacy. Their newfound connection deepens their bond, but the surrounding conflict looms large.

As Yegor’s birthday party approaches, tensions rise with the amassed Darks. Zavulon plans to use the event to shift the balance of power, with the event marking a crucial moment in the ongoing conflict between Light and Dark.

At the party, a critical series of events leads to the Great Truce being broken. Yegor, using a mystical yoyo, inadvertently begins a war between the Darks and Lights, resulting in chaos throughout the banquet hall.

In a moment of desperation, Alisa manages to cut off her finger to remove a magic ring connecting her to Zavulon. This act symbolizes her break from the Darks and her desire to protect Kostya.

Anton infiltrates Yegor’s birthday party disguised as a Dark. However, his true identity is soon revealed, creating tension between the Darks and Lights in the midst of the ongoing struggle.

In a climactic moment, Anton is thrown back in time to 1992, where he must confront his past choices regarding his family. He writes 'Nyet' on a wall to reverse his decision concerning Darya's spell.

After reversing his past, Anton meets a young Sveta again in the spring rain. They share a moment of recognition, suggesting that fate has entwined their destinies once more.
