To help Jean cope with the trauma, he erases her memories of the accident, while simultaneously training her to control her growing psychic abilities.
Fast forward to 1992, the world feels the reverberations of chaos left by En Sabah Nur. The X-Men receive a distress signal from the beleaguered space shuttle Endeavour, which has suffered catastrophic damage due to a solar flare-like energy. The shuttle is spinning out of control, leaving its crew's lives hanging in the balance. The team, consisting of Jean, Hank McCoy, Peter Maximoff, Kurt Wagner, Scott Summers, and Raven, works tirelessly to rescue the astronauts. Yet, in the process, a tense moment arises when one crew member is stranded in the airlock, and time is running out.
