Nick’s grief drives him into a clinical trial that lets him lucid‑dream after taking a mysterious pill. He’s supposed to follow a script that guides the dream toward happy memories from before Daniela entered his life, but a spilled drink destroys the envelope and he ends up staring at Daniela’s smiling photo on his phone. The pill drops him straight into a vivid dream where she is alive, and he quickly abandons the prescribed instructions, using the drug to keep dreaming about her alone.

Each night the pill pushes him deeper: first into the bright, colour‑saturated dream world where Daniela is his, then into a murkier “in‑between” layer that mixes the gritty texture of reality with the fluidity of the dream. In this middle layer Nick discovers that his subconscious fills the world with what he fears—Daniela’s ex‑girlfriend Teresa appears, triggering jealous, possessive impulses. Believing he can fix everything, he decides to take one final dose that will let him rewrite the rules entirely.

During that last dream‑trip Nick storms the clinic, grabs a handful of pills, and forces Daniela to trust him as he tries to cement the dream as his permanent reality. He manipulates the environment, erasing Teresa in front of Daniela and trying to bind the two worlds together. But the power he wields only makes Daniela uneasy, and when he later yanks his friend Garrido out of the house out of spite, the dream collapses around them.

Desperate, Nick retreats to the faux‑reality layer and finally confronts Teresa. He apologises, insisting that if he had never intruded, she would still be alive. Teresa tells him it wasn’t his fault, and Nick, overwhelmed, wishes for “no more.” That wish simultaneously erases both Teresa and Daniela from his dream, forcing him to realize that his controlling desire cannot create a lasting love.

He turns to Victoria, the only person who knows the trial’s rules, and receives a blue envelope that, as she reveals, contains a message he himself wrote earlier. The envelope is a reminder that the only way out is through his own acceptance, not more pills. The film ends with a quiet montage: Daniela and Teresa are shown happy together, an imagined life that would have unfolded had Nick let go. In the final frame Daniela appears in a new dream, looking toward a space that hints at all the layers merging—a visual echo that Nick’s physical self is likely gone, but his consciousness has finally released the need to possess her forever. The closing image suggests that the true resolution lies not in resurrecting the past, but in allowing the loved ones we’ve lost to exist on their own terms.
