Cooper obtains Margate's approval for more undercover work and seeks advice from the Army jump team led by Delmira. He returns to the dive scene markedly improved and more confident. The Army connection gives him new techniques for fast, precise dives.

Back at the dive camp, Turbo remains skeptical of Cooper's fast ascent, while Red Line shows interest in his progress. Cooper earns a spot on the team, but gains a tense rival in Turbo and a growing mentorship from Red Line. The dynamics foreshadow later conflicts.

As Cooper's aerial skills improve, he can enter the formation faster, which puts him closer to Red Line's position. Red Line's presence in the back of the roster intensifies competition and strains his romance with Star. The team dynamics become a source of pressure as stakes rise.

During a high-speed practice dive, Turbo dives too aggressively and crashes into the formation, breaking his neck. Turbo dies, and Cooper is promoted to Red Line's second-in-command, taking on Turbo's responsibilities to fund the team. The tragedy cements Cooper's commitment to the operation and its grim costs.

Red Line leads a landing on Bimini to retrieve drugs hidden off the runway. Cooper and Red Line jump from the aircraft, sneak back on with the drugs, and then jump again to a buyer's house. This maneuver nets them money to fund future dives.

Unbeknownst to them, the FBI has arranged a sting operation in parallel with their jumps. Margate's team closes in on the group as they arrive at a party with drugs. The tension mounts as law enforcement prepares to seize the operation.

During the raid, a gunfight erupts between Margate's squad and Red Line's crew. Cooper tackles Red Line to prevent a breakout, and they jump off the roof together to escape. The confrontation exposes the lines between law enforcement and the criminals.

Red Line is severely injured, yet the team presses toward the Nationals with Cooper stepping up as a leader. They adjust strategies and share the burden of fundraising while Red Line recovers. The crisis deepens the sense that the team's success depends on their ability to persevere.

On the final jump, the team achieves a 9.90-second formation, a world record that crowns their Nationals win. As they descend, Cooper reveals his undercover identity and arrests Red Line. Red Line accepts his fate and dies by suicide as he cuts away from his main chute.

With Red Line dead, Cooper mourns the loss and walks away toward his dive team, accepting the heavy cost of their mission. The team gathers, honoring the fallen while he consoles them and steels himself for what comes next. The closing image centers on loyalty and resolve amid the price paid.
