A young woman is arrested on her wedding day for embezzlement and sentenced to life in prison. Already pregnant, she gives birth behind bars and is immediately separated from her newborn. Years later, Klara learns that the child, placed in an orphanage, suffered a serious spinal injury. After serving twelve years, her sentence is reduced and she is released on parole, hoping to reunite with her son and rebuild their lives.
