Lesya’s crime of passion leads to a seven-year prison sentence in a women's correctional facility in Odesa. As a new mother, she enters a unique world populated by inmates, nurses, wardens, and women of all ages—wives, widows, daughters, sisters, pregnant women, and mothers with children. The facility's complex social dynamics blur the lines between those who are incarcerated and those who provide care, making it sometimes difficult to distinguish them.
