After seven years serving as a man‑servant in his fiancée’s household, Young‑bok is expelled and takes a job at Gyoung‑sung station. There he falls for Gye‑soon, but a tragic event strikes her, prompting him to seek revenge. His quest leads to a violent clash that deepens the film’s sorrow. It is the oldest Korean film preserved.
