Taylor has just earned her driver's license after barely passing the test. The sisters head out for a shopping trip, but their day is shadowed by mishaps: a towel left on the stove starts a house fire, and Taylor had already sunk a friend's pickup while learning to drive stick. Shocked by their carelessness, Reed decides they need to contribute to the family by working at the dairy.

In an alternate ending, Courtney tracks the embezzler to a casino in Puerto Rico and Reed alerts the FBI to capture him. They recover the stolen funds and bring the thief to justice. Despite reclaiming the money, the sisters continue to work at the dairy to prove themselves.
