Colors of Evil: Red

A young girl appears on the beach near Tricity. She is identified as Monika Bogucka, the daughter of judge Helena Bogucka, with her lips brutally torn away, shocking the local community.

Leopold Bilski, a local public prosecutor, takes on the case to find Monika's murderer. He soon discovers that similarities exist between this murder and a case from fifteen years prior.

Jakubiak, the man previously imprisoned for the earlier murder, is arrested after a bloodied shirt is discovered in his backyard. However, during interrogation, he commits suicide, leaving Bilski suspicious of the ease with which the case seems resolved.

Before her death, Monika finds employment at the 'Dockyard', a disco owned by the dangerous mafioso Kazar. Here, she becomes entangled in the drug trade, marking the start of her troubles.

Kazar becomes infatuated with Monika, but his interest quickly turns sinister. Monika's situation escalates when Kazar rapes her, trapping her in a violent world from which she struggles to escape.

Judge Helena Bogucka begins to suspect her husband's secret dealings. After following him, she uncovers that he is Kazar's attorney, realizing the depth of the connections involved in her daughter's life.

Desperate to reveal Kazar's crimes, Monika attempts to reach out to the police. Unfortunately, her efforts are sabotaged by a corrupt cop on Kazar's payroll, who dismisses her claims.

Bilski's relentless search leads him to Tadeusz Dubiela, a coroner with links to Monika, and he uncovers a pattern of disappearances among women connected to the Dockyard. This deepens his resolve to expose Kazar.

Bogucka's husband discreetly shares a USB drive containing incriminating evidence against Kazar's operations. This act of defiance propels Bilski to arrange a police sting to confront Kazar.

The sting initiated by Bilski uncovers disturbing evidence of Kazar's criminal activities, yet fails to reveal information about the missing women. Tensions rise as the involvement of corrupt officers is revealed.

While in custody, Kazar admits to numerous murders, yet shockingly denies any involvement in Monika’s death. His confession revolves around the twisted nature of his criminal operations.

As the investigation seems to reach a conclusion, Bilski and Bogucka take a brief respite from their harrowing pursuit of justice. Bilski prepares to reunite with his family while Bogucka seeks solace away with Tadeusz.

While at a getaway, Bogucka finds a ruby ring that belonged to Monika in Mario's room. This discovery unearths hidden secrets, escalating the tension as Bilski races to connect the dots.

As Tadeusz reveals the truth about Mario's involvement in Monika’s accidental death, the gravity of the situation crystallizes. Tadeusz's attempt to protect his son leads to a tragic conclusion as he takes his own life.

In a final twist, Mario decides to take responsibility for his actions and surrenders to the police. This act emphasizes the complex web of relationships and tragedies that led to Monika’s fate.
