Based on the absurdist writings of Daniil Kharms (1905‑1942), this tragicomic film recreates the atmosphere of the 1930s, adopting period‑exact cinematography, acting styles and a deliberately aged sound. By faithfully rendering Kharms’s text and tone, it immerses viewers in a world of illusion, allusion and stream‑of‑consciousness that reflects the creator’s silence‑laden era.
