Two timelines intertwine in this emotional saga of memory, guilt, and forgiveness. In 2006, Murali’s dream of a fifteen-year college reunion becomes a catalyst for old secrets to surface. His parents, Iyer and Lakshmi, both teachers at the college, organize the gathering to honor their late son. The reunion brings back classmates Suku, Satheesan, Vasu, Pious, Thara, and Raziya, each carrying their own chapters from the past. The present day finds Suku as a successful diamond dealer and power player in Mumbai, Satheesan serving as an MLA with Vasu as his trusted aide, Pious enjoying a comfortable life in the Middle East, Thara living as a renowned classical dancer who runs a dance school, and Raziya trying to rebuild her life after a nervous breakdown years earlier. The night after the reunion, a shocking moment unsettles the group when Suku seems to attempt suicide, though those close to him suspect something far more complicated. Pious steps in to recount Suku’s backstory to Iyer while the medical drama unfolds.

Flashback to 1991, when Murali is a singer and Suku emerges as a fiery student union leader, full of reformist zeal, while Pious plays the role of a wealthy, privileged friend who stands by Suku. Satheeshan, Suku’s rival in student politics, leads a rival faction with his close ally Vasu. Thara Kurup—daughter of a powerful MLA and an award-winning classical dancer—becomes the bright center of attention, and Raziya comes from a conservative Muslim family, adding another layer of cultural tension to the campus atmosphere. As the final year unfolds, Thara and Suku’s love blooms despite opposition. Satheeshan discovers their relationship and schemes to derail it by presenting Thara against Suku in a campus election. He steals a letter that Thara has written to Suku and hides it in a ballet box. Pious and Suku attempt a late-night retrieval of the letter but fail.

That same night, Raziya and Murali, who are secretly in love, plan to elope in the generator room. Murali never arrives, leaving Raziya waiting in suspense. The next day, the scandal explodes as Thara’s letter is exposed, and Satheeshan accuses Suku of misusing it to win favor. Thara ends her relationship with Suku, and a violent fight erupts between Suku and Satheeshan. The campus reels when Murali is found dead in the generator room, and Raziya’s nerves crack under the weight of the tragedy. After Murali’s funeral, Suku withdraws from his studies and heads to Mumbai to build a new life in the diamond business. He is helped by a business associate, Shantharam, who later marries his daughter Ratna; after Shantharam dies, Suku takes over the business, only to go through a bitter divorce from Ratna.

Back in the present, Thara reveals that she came to the reunion to apologize to Suku for breaking his heart. She has learned the truth: Satheeshan orchestrated the letter scandal for political gain, and Thara discovers that Suku is not the villain she once believed him to be. She also uncovers the fact that Suku’s life after leaving college included a marriage and eventual divorce. Reconciliation seems possible as Thara recounts her night in the generator room where she and Suku had a moment of honesty and healing, and Suku confesses another painful truth. In the darkness, he had hidden in the generator room and, mistaking Murali’s presence for danger from Satheeshan’s men, attacked and killed the wrong person, Murali, in a moment of panic and guilt that forced him to abandon his dreams.

Raziya later reveals that she overheard Suku and Thara’s conversation in the generator room and, driven by rage over Murali’s death, visits Suku the next day and strangles him with a guitar-string, attempting to stage it as a suicide. She later regrets the act. When Suku regains consciousness in the hospital, he tells the police he tried to take his own life, not revealing the truth of what happened that night. Iyer, Lakshmi, and Raziya all forgive him and urge him to be with Thara, who has waited for fifteen years. In a quiet, hopeful ending, Suku forgives Thara, accepts her as his spouse, and the two embrace, moving forward together with the healing they have earned through a long, painful journey.
