The film follows a group of people who put duty and work above everything else, washing away their lives and barely pausing, until love finally arrives in the closing act. During a hot summer, pregnant single‑mother and fish‑market saleswoman Maria suddenly acquires a large sum of money, then steals from a man called Jesus, shaking the small community’s routine.
