In a quiet Gallic village, street entertainers and outspoken prostitutes entertain a stream of tourists. Among them, Bessie, a Black visitor, falls for local Bob, and their romance ignites simmering racial tensions that flare among both visitors and townsfolk. The conflict eases when the two families intervene to protect the village’s water supply.
