Eve, an EMT, falls for Damien, the warm‑hearted owner of a rural Belgian bar. She helps run the tavern and befriends regulars until a severe car crash leaves her physically unharmed but emotionally scarred, giving her a pronounced stutter. Isolated and mocked, her relationship cracks as Damien turns to another woman. In retaliation, Eve locks him inside their home, forcing them to confront their intimacy and rebuild communication, set against the backdrop of the bar’s annual animal‑calling contest.
