The young, unemployed man, freshly evicted and desperate to live anywhere, wanders the streets until Fatso, owner of a rundown cage‑house, offers him a cramped unit. Inside the cage‑house he joins other down‑and‑out tenants, confronting poverty, overcrowded conditions and the harsh reality of marginalisation while forming fragile bonds that sustain them.
