BURN·E

WALL-E glides through space, brushing Saturn's rings as he clings to the ship carrying EVE. He runs his hand along a ring and dislodges a tiny rock that accelerates into a meteor. The rock slams into a running light on the Axiom's hull, triggering immediate repairs.

The Axiom's computer detects the spire damage and alerts the ship's autopilot, AUTO. AUTO activates SUPPLY-R, who in turn deploys BURN-E to handle the repair. The sequence sets a repair mission in motion aboard the hull.

BURN-E uses his welding torch to disable the intact spire and moves onto the hull via a repair track. He begins the process of shutting down and repairing the damaged light. The repair work marks his first direct engagement with the hull's internal systems.

As WALL-E's arrival distracts him, the spire he is working with floats away into space. BURN-E scrambles to regain the situation but the setback complicates the repair. The moment underscores the chaos of multitasking repairs on a moving ship.

SUPPLY-R provides a second spare spire, but an exploding escape pod startles BURN-E and he accidentally cuts the new spire in half. The repair remains unresolved as another complication arises. The mishap heightens the tension of completing the fix.

SUPPLY-R drops the final spare light on the floor, and BURN-E retrieves it with a glimmer of progress. He refashions the repair plan while gathering the last component. The scene sets up a potential finish to the repair before further interruptions occur.

BURN-E successfully repairs the light but WALL-E and EVE enter the hull and close the door behind them, inadvertently locking him out. He watches from the outside as they move freely inside the ship. The moment stalls the ongoing repair and shifts the focus to reentry.

Desperate, BURN-E attempts other routes, including the open garbage airlock, but WALL-A closes the exterior door before he can slip back in. Frustration grows as the repair remains incomplete and his access is blocked. The exterior prevents a quick return to duty.

A violent list caused by a confrontation between Captain McCrea and AUTO throws BURN-E outward. He grabs the spire and momentarily stabilizes himself as the ship rights itself. The close call pushes him further from reentry just as progress seems near.

EVE uploads the plant into the Holodetector, sending the Axiom into a hyperjump and pinning BURN-E against the hull. The abrupt jump disrupts his reentry plan and escalates the danger on board. The moment amplifies the tension between onboard entities.

Upon landing, BURN-E searches for SUPPLY-R in the now-deserted ship. He looks out through an escape pod window to see humans and robots outside, scattered across a deserted Axiom. Isolation sinks in as he realizes he is cut off from the repair crew.

BURN-E accidentally jettisons the escape pod, crashing to Earth as the pod door rips away. He hurries to SUPPLY-R and finally powers the spire online, only for the door to destroy it. Exhausted and defeated, BURN-E collapses in frustration.
