Michelle Mulan, [Charisma Carpenter], an attractive woman in her forties, is a real estate broker who has recently been promoted at a failing firm. Although she is fully qualified for her new position, she was promoted because of her father, Walter, [Daniel Baldwin], the chairman. While other executives want to sell the firm, she believes a merger with a larger firm could strengthen her father’s company and secure its future.
As a single mother juggling work commitments with a teenage daughter Dara, [Morgan Obenreder], Michelle feels the pressure of keeping both her career and her family on track. Her boyfriend George, [Mark McClain Wilson], provides steady support, but a chance encounter with Ryan Black, [Bryce Draper], a man fifteen years her junior, sparks an unexpected and complicated interest. After Dara is dropped at home, Michelle returns to the restaurant where Ryan presses his case and gives her his number. Though she initially resolves not to meet him, the merger approval changes her mind, and she agrees to see him. On their date, Ryan exposes Michelle to the world of BDSM, and she finds herself cheating on George as she becomes entangled in a new, provocative dynamic.
As their relationship deepens, Michelle begins to call Ryan her “master” and refers to herself as a “messy whore.” She finds herself drawn to submission even as she learns the boundaries of power and control, discovering that Ryan has a criminal past. She continues to pursue a merger with Jesse Aaron, [Noel Arthur], while exploring what it means to be both submissive and, at times, a dom. A BDSM club warns her that Ryan may be a predator, and Michelle starts to question the risks and promises of this new lifestyle.
Unknown to Michelle, Ryan has also harmed Dara, turning the girl into a submissive as well. When she finally uncovers the truth, Michelle confronts Ryan at his loft, renders him unconscious with a camera tripod, and transports him to his private dungeon where she asserts control. She disciplines him before turning him over to the police for raping her daughter, a turning point that redefines her sense of justice and agency.
With Ryan out of the picture, the merger with Jesse Aaron’s company proceeds, impressing Walter enough to name Michelle a full partner in the firm. In the final scene, she signs the merger paperwork in her office, sealing the deal, and, in a dramatic twist, she asserts her authority by making Jesse her submissive. The story closes on a portrait of empowerment, risk, and the complex dance of power, money, and desire.
