Mick, a struggling hippie filmmaker, finally gets a break when he discovers his girlfriend Marlene’s father Burt is a producer—though Burt only makes porn. Pressed for time, Mick shoots a low‑budget sci‑fi disaster in three days. Burt then requests endless rewrites and struggles to find any distribution for the sub‑par film.
