Anthony Blunt, a Cambridge‑educated art historian, secretly works as a Soviet spy. In love with double‑agent Guy Burgess, he helps Burgess get another treasonous British operative to safety in Moscow. When Burgess also defects, authorities suspect Blunt, yet investigators struggle to picture such a gentleman betraying his nation and class.
