Vanessa, a TV reporter, investigates a farmer assaulted by his chickens and realizes the attacks are widespread. She and cameraman Peter travel to Spain, where they find survivors of a town eradicated by birds thirty years earlier. As more incidents unfold—a birthday party tragedy and doves swooping on a poultry couple—Vanessa concludes the birds are coordinating retaliation against humanity’s environmental abuse, culminating in a massive assault on the train she rides.
