Bellas de Noche

The story takes place primarily at El Pirulí, a neighborhood cabaret that serves as the central hub where boxers, dancers (ficheras), and criminals interact. When the cabaret closes, characters are forced to seek new lives elsewhere.

Characters inhabit the underground nightlife economy of 1970s Mexico, where the cabaret serves as a micro-society dominated by favors, debts, and control. It's a world of seduction, risks, and bets where entertainment and criminality intertwine under neon lights and smoke.

Margarito Fuensanta 'El Vaselinas' is a pimp who loses a bet and owes money to gangsters. He attempts to settle the debt through schemes and deceptions, even faking his own death to evade creditors. His plans drag other characters into dangerous situations, driving the mix of debt, power, and violence at the cabaret.

Carmen is a fichera (cabaret dancer) at the cabaret who seduces Germán 'Bronco' Torres. She is the object of desire and a driving force behind the intrigues. Her relationship with Germán pushes him toward risky decisions. Though her life appears glamorous, she is immersed in a world of debts and betrayals.

Lupita is Raúl's girlfriend and becomes the central figure in the confusion caused by the trap set by El Vaselinas.
